Ensure that NHIS is free from all sorts of fraud

Tepa (Ash), May 24, GNA-Implementers and other stakeholders of the District Mutual Health Insurance Scheme (DMHIS) have been asked to collaborate efforts devoid of partisan politics in the discharge of their duties to ensure the smooth execution of the scheme next month. Mr Theophilus Ayugane, a technical officer of Community Partnership for Health and Development (CPHD), a non-governmental organisation, who made the appeal also asked them to ensure transparency and accountability and to avoid fraud.

He was speaking at a three-day training workshop organised by the Ahafo-Ano North district assembly in conjunction with the CPHD for the DMHIS board members, management, staff and the district hospital senior staff at Tepa.

Mr Ayugane advised the participants to initiate pragmatic measures to ensure the success of the programme and said about 9,200 people in the district have so far registered with the scheme.
