HOSTAC fail to stop Police

Accra, Oct. 15, GNA - HOSTAC Stars on Saturday failed to stop their counterparts, the Police Service in the 11th week Areeba Handball League played at the Azumah Nelson Sports Complex when they lost the game 20-32.

Even though HOSTAC paraded a set of youthful players, the Police Service team led by national star, Joseph Addoquaye proved to be more experienced than their opponents and utilised it to perfection. Police first had to cancel an early lead by HOSTAC and went on to a 15-11 score by the close of the first half and went ahead to increase the score to carry the day.

The match between Air Force of Burma camp and Future Stars however ended abruptly when Future Stars were leading 15-5.

The match, which ended on technical grounds has therefore been forwarded to the Disciplinary Committee of the Handball Association of Ghana (HAG) for determination. In other matches, Prisons Service defeated Asomdwe Club 35-24 with Ghana Army sounding Old Hands with a 31-19 win whilst Prison Ladies defeated Asomdwe Ladies 25 -10. 15 Oct. 06
