Gyimah delighted as Pirates return to winning ways

Ghana and Orlando Pirates defender Edwin Gyimah says he is glad his side has returned to winning ways in the league after a 2-0 win over Maritzburg United.

A 24th minute strike from Kent Erasmus gave Pirates the lead earlier on before South Africa international Mpho Makola stamped the victory on the 47th minute.

Gyimah who started the game from the bench says it is a massive boost to return to winning ways ahead of their CAF Confederation final next week.

“It was very important that we got a positive result today because we have struggled in the league for some time now,” Gyimah said after the game

“The win gives us confidence going into our next games so I am very delighted.”

The 2-0 victory moves Pirates to 11th on the league table with 5 points from six games.
