Gyan responds to ice-water bath challenge

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan responded to the ice-water bath challenge within hours of being nominated to do so by his international teammate Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu.

The Al Ain ace in turn nominated his ‘idol’ Floyd Mayweather as the next candidate to take the challenge.

Al Ain stars Jires Ekoko and Omar Abdulrahman were the others nominated by the Black Stars captain.

The ice-water bath challenge has been the new social media craze as part of innovative ways to raise money for cancer research.

It involves pouring a bucket full of ice-cold water over one’s head once he is nominated to the challenge.

Several sports and entertainment celebrities have taken turns to perform the challenge.

Ghanaian players will also not be left out as they continue to take the challenge.

Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari and Kevin-Prince Boateng have all taken the challenge.

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu and Jonathan Mensah are amongst the latest Ghanaian players to do same with Asamoah Gyan also joining in.

Juventus star Kwadwo Asamoah and new Everton recruit Christian Atsu are expected to do same in hours to come in response to challenges thrown at them.
