Gyan named in Africa's finest XI

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan is named in CAF's Africa finest XI team for the Year 2013.

Gyan, who was not on the final three-man shortlist for the continents Player of the Year prize is joined by eventual winner, Yaya Toure, who won his third consecutive award.

2013 Africa Cup of Nations winning coach and Coach of the Year Stephen Keshi of Nigeria was named as the manager of the team.

On Thursday, an 11-man team was revealed at CAF-Glo Awards ceremony in Lagos.

Defenders: Ahmed Fathy (Egypt), Mehdi Benatia (Morocco), Kevin Constant (Guinea)

Midfielders: Jonathan Pitroipa (Burkina Faso), John Obi Mikel (Nigeria), Yaya Toure (Cote d’Ivoire), Mohamed Aboutreika (Egypt)

Forwards: Emmanuel Emenike (Nigeria), Asamoah Gyan (Ghana), Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Gabon)

Coach: Stephen Keshi
