Forward Andre Ayew has finally been ruled out Swansea City's English Premier League clash against Stoke City on Saturday because of an ankle injury.

Swansea head to eighth-placed Stoke on Saturday, with coach Francesco Guidolin confirming that striker Ayew will miss the Britannia Stadium encounter due to the injury.

The Ghana striker injured his ankle during the victory over Norwich City at the start of March and he was forced to miss the two games before the international break.

"He (Ayew) is not fit,'' Guidolin added.

"He is getting better, but is not ready for Saturday. He could be ready for the game against Chelsea."

Ayew also sat out the Black Stars Africa Cup of Nations double-header qualifiers against Mozambique.

Although he has received treatment on his injured ankle in France the past few weeks, he is still not 100% and he is not ready for the trip to the Britannia Stadium.

Ayew, who joined the Welsh outfit from Marseille last June, has been a regular for Swansea as he has featured in all but one of their top-flight games before picking up the ankle problem.
