Greuther Furth selection boost for Rahman

Ghana youth defender Baba Abdul Rahman could be handed his Bundesliga debut after Greuther Furth's first choice left-back was ruled out for three weeks.

Kazakh international Heinrich Schmidtgal picked up a hamstring injury during last Saturday's pre-season friendly against Sivasspor.

Rahman replaced him and impressed head coach Michael Buskens.

The 18-year-old joined Greuther Furth this summer after consistent displays for Ghanaian champions Asante Kotoko.

The new Bundesliga season will start on August 24 and Greuther Furth-who will be making their debut-travel to Mainz 05.
