Greater Accra Milo Junior Ball ends

Accra, March 10, GNA - Air Force Primary and Junior High Schools (Burma Camp), clinched the 2011 Milo Junior Ball Championship with a riveting performance against Kotoka Primary & JHS, 12-2, at the Aviation Social Centre, Accra.

Air Force played with so much determination and focus in both halves with young and enterprising Desmond Amoah being the most prominent star in the team displaying individual magnificent piece of skills and dexterity anytime he touched the ball to aid his side to win.

The newly crowned champions began their journey to glory with a free-flowing game coupled with aggression and firepower on the offensive to wallop debutant New Creation 15-0 in the groups' opening game, before the= y took revenge over Garrison Primary and JHS in the quarter-final stage. In the semi finals, Air Force Primary and JHS managed a narrow 13-12 victory over an impressive Ghana Lebanon and Islamic School side. Ghana Lebanon and Islamic School (GLISS) grabbed the bronze medal, while Ridge Church School took the fourth place to secure their qualification for the grand final.

20 selected Private and Public Basic Schools drawn from the Greater Accra Region participated in the one day event designed to unearth basketball, music and dance talents in Basic Schools in the country. The championship was under the sponsorship of Nestle Milo and supported by Indomie Instant Noodles

The Championship will hit the Central Region next week at the Hoops Care Academy Basketball Court.
