Grace Amoah of Tema claimed top honours at last Saturday’s edition of the Lipton bi-monthly golf competition played on the greens of the Tema Country Golf Club (TCGC).
Mrs. Amoah dominated the ladies event winning the contest with a close of play score of 72 net to take home a giant trophy.
Her score was three strokes better than Adelaide Owusu-Adjapong and Essie Cobbina who both finished the 18-Hole contest on 75 net.
Esther Antwi and evergreen Florence Etwi-Barimah finished fourth and fifth respectively with scores of 77 and 78.
The men event was won by Ako Odotei on count-back ahead of E.K. Owusu, E.T. Mensah, Adu Adjei and J. Otoo who all closed the day with a net of 69.
It was a keenly contested affair as some of the best amateur golfers in the country, took turns to demonstrate their skills on the greens of the TCGC.
The Lipton bi-monthly competition is an established feature on the calendar of the TCGC and is sponsored by Uniliver Ghana Limited.
