"Golden Boy" Pulls Out

Abdul Razak has ended his dream to coach the senior national team, the Black Stars, in the immediate future. He pulled out of the four short listed applicants billed to be interviewed by a Ghana Football Association (GFA) panel, after he was appointed as Kumasi Asante Kotoko head coach.

The 1978 African footballer of the year has asked the GFA chairman, Ben Koufie, to withdraw his application.

The ex-international was offered a one-year deal by the seven-member interim management committee of Kumasi Asante Kotoko. Razak is to be assisted by Frimpong-Manso, a former Asante Kotoko and national star, who has already started work with the.

Meanwhile, German Burkhard Ziese and E.K Afranie were interviewed on Monday. Portuguese Manuel Gomez Concalves is yet to meet the panel.
