Ghanaian midfielder Gladson Awako got off the mark for Phoenix Rising in their 4-0 walloping of Colorado Springs Switchbacks in the American United Soccer League on Sunday morning.
Following a cagey first half, Phoenix fetched the opener in the 68th minutes courtesy Gladson Awako's fantastic strike.
Late goals from Joe Farrell, Chris Cortez and Kevaughn Frater ensured the Arizona-based outfit continue their hot-streak form, where they have picked four wins out five.
Awako enjoyed full minutes of action for the Didier Drogba-owned club but there was no sign of in-form Solomon Asante in their squad.
Despite the win, Phoenix remains 2nd on the league log with 50 points, three adrift of leaders Real Monarchs who have a game in hand.
