Gidoen Baah suffers season-ending injury

New York Red Bulls defender Gideon Baah will miss four to five months of action after breaking his tibia (leg) in Sunday's 0-0 draw with Portland Timbers.

The club confirmed his injury layoff on Monday after he was sent for surgery.

β€œTo have this happen to him is painful for everyone,” head coach Jesse Marsch told Red Bulls communications specialist Eric Giacometti of Baah's injury.

Baah will be making a return to the treatment room after already missing large chunks of the season to injury

The 24-year-old's first was back in March when he suffered a hamstring strain.

The former Asante Kotoko left-back joined New York Red Bulls from Finnish side HJK Helsinki in the offseason.
