Black Meteors coach Malik Jabir is refusing to blame himself nor his players after his team lost 0-2 to the Dream team of Nigeria at the ongoing All African Games in Brazzaville, Congo.

Ghana’s defeat against Nigeria on Wednesday, September 9, comes on the back of an opening day dull goalless draw game against Senegal at the Games.

According to Coach Jabir, his players have done well considering the poor preparations that went into the teams fine-tuning stage for the All African Games.

“I have not disappointed Ghanaians. In fact I think Ghanaians are the once who have disappointed me because they should have help me to train and prepare this team better than they did. It’s unfortunate but for me even the game against Nigeria was better than the first game,” Jabir told the press after the defeat to Nigeria.

The Black Meteors of Ghana are the defending Champions of the competition after winning the last edition held in Maputo, Mozambique, but now Ghana is on the brink of elimination unless results in the last Group Game between Nigeria and Senegal go in their favour.

Ghana must hope that Nigeria beat Senegal by more than 2 unanswered goals before they can progress at the multi-sport event.
