Ghanaian table tennis star for world ranking

Accra, July 4, GNA- Ghana's Table Tennis star, Eric Amoah has gained qualification into the world ranking zone to be released soon by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF). Amoah gained the qualification when he participated in a recent World Table Tennis Championship in France where he placed second in his elimination group.

According to E.K. Oteng Aboagye, General secretary of the Ghana table Tennis Association (GTTA), Amoah is expected to lead the Ghanaian team to the All Africa Games to be held in Abuja, Nigeria, in October. The player, who is currently on holidays in the country and would be training with local stars, is a member of the Dutch Table Tennis League. Amoah, a registered member of the Dutch Table Tennis League in June competed in the Delf Open Championship in Denhag where he won the first position for his club Armsterdam 78 Table Tennis Club.
