Ghanaian supporters sustain injuries in Malabo, two feared dead

Ghanaian fans, who decided to leave for their homes after the Black Stars 3-0 win over Equatorial Guinea in the AFCON 2015 semi-finals were assaulted outside the Estadio de Malabo by fans of the host nation, and sustained various degrees of injuries, DailySoccerGhana.com sources have revealed.

The Ghanaian supporters were pelted with rocks and missiles and sustained wounds and cuts. The violent attacks on the street outside the stadium were triggered by the crowd trouble by Equato Guinean hooligans during the dying embers of the game.

The attacks on Ghana fans in the stadium, which led to a temporary hold-up of the game, left some supporters injured. At the end of the game, several buses were organized to take the Ghanaian fans to the Ghana Embassy, as no one was allowed to leave alone.

According to unconfirmed reports, there are two Ghanaian immigrants who were killed in Caracolas, which is near the Ghana Embassy in Equatorial Guinea.
