Ghanaian boxing promoter and President of GH Bosslink Sport Promotions, Collins Bio-Donkor, has scored another major point in his bid to promote boxing in Ghana following a partnership with Korean boxing investors to build a boxing arena in the country.

Mr. Bio-Donkor sealed the deal to build the facility for underprivileged children in Ghana, providing them with an avenue to channel their energy.

The deal could also include staging boxing events in Ghana with collaboration with Hwang Hyun Ki, the President of Asia Kickboxing Federation and owner of Team RSC Boxing Promotions.

The deal was clinched during one of the visits of Mr Bio-Donkor when he met Young Choi, the Korean inventor who created Ice Tube, the bio-thermoregulation technology which turns human temperature into energy

Meanwhile, Hyung Byung Hun, the President of the Korean Professional Boxing Federation, has assured a free venue for a boxing promotion in Korea and possible shots at Pan Asian Boxing Association (PABA) belts for Ghanaian boxers

Indeed, plans are far advanced for Mr Hwang to lead a team of boxers from the Asian country on a training tour to Ghana next month as guests of Gh Bosslink Sport Promotions, which will go a long way to help take Ghana boxing to a higher level.

In a related development, a group of Korean investors led by Jang Woo Lee, manager of Ice Tube, are expected in Ghana to finalise an agreement for a boxing promotion in Ghana as well as inspect the proposed site for the Gh Bosslink boxing gym

“We hope to use boxing to eradicate the problem of street kids, those who lack parental support, school drop outs and others,” Mr Bio-Donkor explained.
