Ghanaian midfielder Aziz Tetteh undergoes successful knee surgery

Gazesahir Gaziantep midfielder Aziz Tetteh has successfully gone under the knife for a knee surgery after being sidelined for a little over month.

The midfielder picked up the injury in his side’s 1-1 stalemate with Goztepe in the week seven of the Turkish Super Lig and was replaced by fellow countryman Rahman Chibsah.

Tetteh was airlifted to Poland for the surgery after receiving initial medication from his club’s medical team in Gaziantep, Turkey.

The workaholic midfielder whose injury has been described as a ‘huge blow to the club’ by Gaziantep manager, had been an influential figure in the side since his transfer from Dinamo Moscow.

Tetteh is expected to be out for not more than a month as the injury does not look too serious.

“Had a successful surgery. I’m grateful to Allah/God always and thanks to you all for your messages and support. I’ll be back soon,” Aziz posted on his Instagram page.

The industrious Ghanaian midfielder is expected to be back in Turkey in a few days.
