Ghanaian defender Isaac Ntow has been suspended for four matches after seeing red in Hibenians FC defeat to Valletta last Sunday.
Ntow was shown two yellow cards and dismissed during the match against Valletta FC.
This suspension was confirmed by the Malta Football Association after officials sent details of players to have been booked over the weekend.
Meanwhile, Hibernians went to the MFA in protest about what they are calling a technical error by referee Philip Farrugia who signalled the end of the first half seconds before the two minutes were over.
This led to a minor scuffle that has also led to the suspension of Hibernians coach Stefano Sanderra. He received a two-game ban.
Another player who was suspended was Hibernians forward Joseph Mbong.
The other players from the BOV Premier League suspended are Steve Pisani, Nenad Slijivic Balzan, Matias Garcia Senglea Athletic, Goran Adamovi? and Claudio Pani Sliema Wanderers Daniel Zerafa Tarxien Rainbows.
