Ghana first-choice goalkeeper Razak Brimah returns to reclaim the number spot after his main rival Adam Kwarasey suffered an injury while in action for Portland Timbers in the USA.

Kwarasey had dominated the custodian role for recent weeks since the start of the American MLS season but he has been toppled by Razak Brimah who plays for Cordoba in Spain's second-tier league.

Meanwhile there are places for Montreal Impact's Dominic Oduro, David Atanga as well as Johnathan Opoku.

Samuel Inkoom, John Boye and Albert Adomah are the only players retained from last weekend's TEAM.

Here's the GHANAsoccernet.com Players Abroad Team of the Week picked by El Akyereko Frimpong who comprehensively monitored how players fared over the weekend.

GOALKEEPER - Razak Brimah (Cordoba - Spain)

The Ghana Number 1 kept a clean sheet at the Estadio El Alcoraz as Los Blanquiverdes recorded their 15th win of the season. A save he produced in the second was a top drawer and that contributed immensely to the win has restored Cordoba's promotion play-off hopes back on track.

DEFENDER - Samuel Inkoom (Antalyaspor - Turkey)

Antalyaspor's handsome 4-2 victory over Galatasaray was much credited with the striking force powered by Cameroon legend Samuel Eto'o but the work done by Samuel Inkoom was crucial to the victory. The 26-year-old's bursting runs piled pressure on the visitors wing-halves and he drifted into defence to apply his cold defensive mind on the Gala forward liners as well.

DEFENDER - Daniel Opare (Augsburg - Germany)

When Markus Weinzerl decided to hand the former Real Castilla defender his debut Bundesliga appearance at Werder Bremen the 25-year-old gave it his all. Augsburg's survival campaign had to continue against Stuttgart and Opare played with a tough defensive glint acting like an effective sentinel when his attacking partners went in search of goal.

DEFENDER - Daniel Amartey (Leicester - England)

When Jamie Vardy was sent off, Claudio Ranieri found a strong defensive anchor in the former Copenhagen star whose versatility added value to the Foxes game plan as they fought from behind to nick a crucial home draw against a free-scoring West Ham United side at the King Power Stadium. He defended gallantly for the 15 minutes he lasted on the pitch.

DEFENDER - John Boye (Sivasspor - Turkey)

Commanding performance from the central defender for Sivasspor against Besiktas. Though the Yigidos slipped against the giants, Boye's performance on the day was commendable.

MIDFIELDER - Isaac Cofie (Carpi - Italy)

Good box-to-box performance from the former Genoa player. Cofie, 25, conquered the midfield, gagging the space every and disarming his former employers - Genoa any chance of rising above the challenge in the game. He emerged one of the best performers at the Stadio Alberto Braglia where 9,500 fans watched the game.

MIDFIELDER - David Atanga (Liefering FC - Austria)

At the tender age of 19, Atanga is playing the best midfield game in the Austria second-tier league. He scored a brace to inspire Liefering toa 3-1 victory over Austria Klagenfurt. Great performance on the afternoon.

WINGER - Albert Adomah (Middlesbrough - England)

Workaholic and brave. While Boro had to win at Bolton Wanderers Adomah needed to maintain the high standards he has set for himself this season in the Championship and his performance was nothing but superb as he piled the pressure on the hosts, bombarding their area with his pace and abusive crosses until the match was won at the death.

WINGER - Jeffrey Schlupp (Leicester City - England)

The 23-year-old stepped out of the dug-out at the King Power Stadium and he won a penalty that secured a point against West Ham United to made attempts to frustrate the Foxes. Schlupp's work-rate was highly impressive and pressed forward more.

ATTACKER - Dominic Oduro (Montreal Impact - Canada)

Oduro assisted both goals scored by the Impact when they travelled to Chicago to humble Chicago Fire 2-1. The first assist was an artful effort that set up Didier Drogba for the opener before he helped again to get the game won by the visitors.

ATTACKER - Johnathan Opoku Agyemang (VVV Venlo - Netherlands)

12 goals so far from a deceitful striking role for the 26-year-old Dutch-born. On Friday night at the Seacon Stadion De Koel, Opoku opened the scoring with a brilliant 17th minute before he aided in a second as his side won by 4-1 against Fortuna Sittard. Opoku's Venlo are second on the league table, 7 points behind leaders Sparta Rotterdam, who are holding the automatic promotion berth now with a couple of games left to round up the season.
