The Ghana National Volleyball team, Black Spikers won gold at the just ended world volleyball championship qualifiers in Niger with Nine points.
The spikers beat Niger 3-1 in the final match to win the tournament.
According to Madam Christiana Ashley, General Secretary of the Ghana Volleyball Association, the games were very competitive but the Spikers pulled through because they were determined to win.
"All kinds of obstacles were placed on the way of the Ghanaian team but they excelled marvelously to win the competition", she said.
Full Results of the matches plated at the competition are, day one - Niger 3 Ivory Coast 1, Ghana 3 Nigeria 1.
The Second day saw Nigeria beating Niger by 3-0, whilst Ghana beat Ivory Coast 3-0.
Day three saw Nigeria winning 3-0 against Ivory Coast, whilst Ghana defeated Niger 3-1.
Ghana won the competition with 9 points, Nigeria placed second with 6 points, Niger third with 3 points and Ivory Coast fourth with no point.
The Ghanaian team is expected back home on Wednesday.
