Ghana's Nations Cup squad recorded impressive wins over two second-tier South African sides in a pre-tournament friendly in Nelspruit, South Africa on Friday.
A first set composed of senior players recorded a 5-0 win. Asamoah Gyan hit a hat-trick while Matthew Amoah and Haminu Dramani scored a goal apiece.The second session saw Ghana finish 4-0 winners over Mbombela FC with Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, Dominic Adiyiah, Kwadwo Asamoah and Opoku Agyemang all scoring.
The team will play another friendly against Malawi in Swaziland on 5 January before leaving for Angloa two days later.
Ghana are in Group B together with Ivory Coast, Togo and Burkina Faso.
The African Nations Cup runs from 10-31 January.
