Coconut Grove Sharks pip Venomous Vipers

Cape Coast, Aug. 15, GNA - A classic goal scored by Isaac Quainoo in the 89th minute enabled Elmina Coconut Grove Sharks to confirm their superiority over Cape Coast Venomous Vipers in their Division One League match played at the Robert Mensah stadium, Cape Coast on Thursday. Grove Sharks spanked Vipers 5 - 1 in the first round match of the League.

After Takoradi based referee Stone Wossey signaled for the commencement of the match, the two teams entertained the crowd with short and accurate passes but failed to find the net up to the end of the first half with no score to either side.

On resumption of play, the game remained balanced but when all things was pointing to a drawn game, outside left Quainoo collected a pass from the left flank and quickly disposed of his marker to score the only goal of the match for the match winner.
