Ghana’s Black Stars ‘B’ will step up preparations for next month’s crucial Chan qualifiers with an international friendly against neighbours Togo.

After having an initially arranged trip to Egypt cancelled at the last minute, the home-based Black Stars now have the chance to test their strength outside of the country.

The two teams have agreed on a 9 July date, with the Ghanaians having to take a short trek into Lome, the Togolese capital, for the game.

The Black Stars have been camping at the Ghanaman Soccer School of Excellence since May, and have enjoyed a plethora of test games which included a 1-1 draw with Benin and a 2-1 win over Gambia’s senior team in June.

The team defeated lower tier side Vision FC 4-0 in another friendly on Sunday.

Ghana faces Burkina Faso over two legs in the 2018 Chan qualifiers in August and will also host 15 other West African nations in the revived Wafu Championship later in September.
