Ghanaian forward Patrick Twumasi put up an inspiring performance as his Astana side drew 2-2 away with Irtysh in the Kazakhstani Premier League on Saturday.

Twumasi was at his usual best by playing an influential role to earn his side a point away from home.

The 21-year-old was one of the best players for his side on the day despite failing to find the back of the net.

The striker came close to score on few occasions by would only be denied by Irtysh goalkeeper David Loria.

Djordje Despotovic and Serikzhan Muzhikov were on target for Astana while Eldos Akhmetov and Carlos Fonseca got the goals for the home team Irtysh.

Twumasi who lasted the full 90 minutes at the Ortal?q Stadion will be hoping to get on the score sheet when they take on Kaspyi next week.

Astana are still top of the League table with 19 points after 7 matches.
