Ghana retained its place as the highest-ranked African side on Wednesday following the release of Fifa’s latest rankings.
The lack of action for national team over the past one month helped the Black Stars to maintain their position in Africa.
Ghana also retained its 15th position in the world as the top ranked sides all maintained their positions.
The World Cup quarter-finalists have recently profited from their performances over the past one year which catapulted them to the top of African football.
Ivory Coast are the second highest ranked African side but are six rungs below Ghana in the overall ranking on 21.
Egypt maitainedf its third place in Africa while South Africa are fourth on the continent ahead of Nigeria who are fifth.
Meanwhile, the top five sides in the world remain unchanged – with world champions Spain leading the Netherlands, Germany, Brazil and Argentina.
