Ghana midfielder James Kotei eyes first silverware with Simba FC

Ghanaian international James Kotei says he's relishing the prospect of winning the 2017 FA Cup trophy in Tanzania with Simba FC.

Simba FC who finished the 2016/2017 season on second place with 68 points will battle Mabao FC for the prestigious title on Saturday.

Simba FC posted a narrow 1-0 win over Yahaya Mohammed and Daniel Amoah's Azam FC in 1-0 semifinals to book final fight with Mbao who finished 12 in the just ended league.

And the former Al-Orouba SC and Liberty Professionals defensive midfielder who was adjudged Man of the match in his side’s semi-final match against Azam FC says his looking forward to wining first silverware with Simba FC.

‘’I know the game isn’t going to be easy but I am optimistic we will emerge as champions after the entire throttle.’’ Kotei told sportsworldghana.com.

He added ‘’Nothing comes easy and in ensuring that we beat Mbao FC to win the FA Cup title we will need to fast-track our performance to ensure we are able to accomplish our target of becoming champions.

Meanwhile Ghana’s goalkeeper who has been outstanding for the club this season has been named in Coach Joseph Omog squad for Saturday’s crunch fixture.
