The team ran a time of 37.93 seconds, falling short of their three leading opponents and missing out on a podium finish.

Rose Yeboah misses out on medal spot in women's high jump final
Joseph Paul Amoah, Benjamin Azamati, Ubrahim Fuseini, and Rasheed Saminu competed in the race with hopes of winning Ghana’s maiden medal in the event, but that ambition did not materialise.
Despite the disappointing result, the 4x100m relay team showed significant improvement by setting a new national record—one of the best times on the African continent.
The major hurdle of baton exchanges has now been resolved by the team, and they will be aiming for a podium finish in their next athletics meet.
This result means Team Ghana did not win a single medal at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, despite the commendable efforts of the athletes and coaches who represented the country.
