Ghana face Turkey friendly on Aug 14

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) wishes to announce that the Black Stars will play Turkey in an international friendly next week.
The match will be played in Istanbul on Wednesday 14 August, 2013. The Black Stars will be playing the Turks at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul for the first time.
The GFA hurriedly arranged the match against the European country after Iran pulled out of a match on the FIFA international friendly.
GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi says the match will help the Black Stars prepare for the 2014 World Cup crucial clash against Zambia.
"We have managed to arrange a friendly against Turkey after Iran withdrew from our planned match against them," Ghana FA President Kwesi Nyantakyi told Ghanafa.org.
"Turkey have a very formidable side giving what their teams achieved this year in European club competitions and they will give us the needed test to prepare for September's World Cup qualifier against Zambia." The match against Turkey will kick off at 21:30 pm in Istanbul or 7:30 pm Ghana time.
