Ghana will host South Africa's Polo team in the Vodafone Cup at the Accra Polo Turf Club, Saturday, November 23 2013.
The Ghanaian contingent includes Michael Mahama, Suleman Iddrisu, Eric Gene Ahmadu Mohammed and Joel Kwaky Dopoah Dei, who have promised to defeat their opponents.
The South African Ambassador to Ghana, Jeanette Ndhlovu and personnel from Vodafone Africa are expected to lavish the Accra Polo Club to offer an unflinching support to Team South Africa.
President of Ghana Polo club, Kwakye Dopoah Dei, said he will make sure Ghana triumphs in all Polo tournaments in his term of office.
"I will put in a lot of efforts in the Ghana team. We will organise lots of tournaments and matches so that we build a great team," he said.
"I want to win many trophies for Ghana and I will entreat all Ghanaians and corporate bodies to help raise Polo Sports in Ghana."
Ghana defeated Atlantic UK 7- 4 to emerge winners of a thrilling game of Polo to earn the bragging rights as champions of the 2013 Vodafone Independence Polo championship in April earlier this year.
