Ghana draw with Ivorians: Lesotho Stun Egypt

The all-West African clash at the Sasol Eight Nations tournament between Ghana and Ivory Coast ends up in a draw.

The Black Satellites were held to a goalless draw by the Ivorians at the Meadowlands Stadium in Soweto on Friday.

Ghana, who went top of Group B after a convincing 3-1 win over Lesotho on Wednesday were denied from finding the back of the net this time round as the Ivorians matched the Black Satellites and cleared their lines well.

A win could have sealed for Ghana a semi-final place but the national under-20 team would need to wait till their last group game on Sunday which is against the young Pharaohs of Egypt.

Lesotho beat Egypt 1-0 in a hard-fought exciting Sasol Eight Nations Group B clash at the Eldorado Park Stadium on Friday.

Lesotho face the third-placed Ivorians on Sunday in their final group game while group leaders Ghana face Egypt. Lesotho and Ghana only need to draw to remain in the competition.

The top teams from each group advance to the semi-finals stage of the competition
