The national U-17 team of Ghana, the Black Starlets will leave for Niger on Monday ahead of the West Africa Zone B qualifying tournament for the Africa Juvenile Championship next year.

Coach of the Black Starlets Karim Zito is expected to name a 25 man team that will travel with him to Niger.

The team has already been hit massively with the news of the disqualification of two of their key players.

Winger Adams Saad and nimble-footed midfielder Emmanuel Bio were disqualified after failing to meet the grade of the MRI scan.

The team, however, will be pruned to a 21 man squad.

The Black Starlets are in group A of the qualifying Zone “B” as hosts Niger and Togo whilst Burkina Faso, Benin, Nigeria and Ivory Coast are put in group B.

Meanwhile, only the winners of the Niger tournament qualify for the tournament finals to be staged in Tanzania in May 2019.
