Palermo have signed 18-year-old Ghanaian Afriyie Acquah to a four-year contract after impressing the officials of the club.

"He impressed on trials and they want to hand him a first team place in the Serie A. He proved to be good and I can tell you that there's a bright future for this young lad," his local agent, Oliver Arthur, told Ghanasoccernet.com.

The midfielder moves from Sunyani-based second-tier side DC United for an undisclosed fee.

Acquah showed a lot of promise during his three-month stay at Palermo and is back in Ghana to sort out his work permit.
