Ghana Set To Parade Youngsters In African Cup Of Nations

Most of the junior players that won the U-20 World Cup for Ghana will be an integral part of the senior side at the next African Cup of Nations, revealed coach Milovan Rajevac.

"It will be a blend of youth and experience, comprising of players who have been the national team's backbone over the years and those who shone in Ghana's Under-20 World Cup triumph," Rajevac was quoted as saying by Ghanasoccernet.com.

"We will miss injured captain Stephen Appiah and several other players face a race against time to be fit but we are still hoping to hit top form at the right time."

Although the Black Stars’ squad for Angola 2010 might be fused with a lot of young faces, players like Michael Essien, John Mensah, John Pantsil, Sulley Muntari and Matthew Amoah are going to be pivotal.

Ghana is paired in an all West African Group B made up of Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and Togo.
