Ghana Premier League has improved - Kwesi Appiah

Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah claims the coaching courses organised by the Ghana FA and Caf have improved the local league.

His comments follow the reallocation of the four slots by Caf to Ghana in the African inter-club competitions.

The Premier League which is rated number two on the African continent also contributed 18 players to the Black Satellites team that finished third at the recent Under-20 World Cup in Turkey.

Appiah earned his Caf license A certificate last week alongside 43 others. He told Radio XYZ that such courses have broadened the horizon of the coaches and have been highly beneficial.

“If you look at previous seasons and compare it to last season and this season, there has been a vast improvement and for me I believe that it all boil down to these courses we are doing,” the Black Stars coach said.

“I think it’s been really beneficial, in the sense that you meet so many coaches who are knowledgeable and the sort of ideas and views we pick from each other during that period are helpful,” Appiah added.
