Ghana Match Causes Fight in Karmo

During the first half of Nigeria Ghana match played at the new national stadium in Abuja on Friday May 30, a club at Karmo where football fans gathered to watch the match on a T.V set witnessed a serious fight in which two persons were injured.

The quarrel had started when Ghana scored their first and only goal.

Two young men had begun to argue over the performance of the Super Eagles when all of a sudden, other people's attention was drawn. Shortly after, the people had divided into two with either side supporting one of the two persons fighting.

Two persons who were not the originators of the quarrel were injured on their heads with sticks and broken bottles and were rushed to a nearby clinic never to watch the second half.
