Ghana, Benin friendly cancelled

The last trial match the Black Stars scheduled against their Beninois counterparts at the Accra Stadium on Friday has been cancelled. This follows a decision by the FA to send the team to Mali early enough to enable the players acclimatised to the exceptional challenging weather in the host country for the 2002 Nations Cup.

Instead the team will now play the national Under-23 team, the Black Meteors at the Accra Stadium tomorrow afternoon.

The Meteors are also currently in camp preparing for the special four-nation invitational tournament which kicks off in South Africa on January 20.
