Beach Soccer in Ghana continues to make positive strides with the news that the 2015/2016 Ghana Beach Soccer Championship highlights will be shown on Supersports Blitz.
The exciting development was revealed to allsports.com.gh by association president Yaw Ampofo Ankrah and coincides with the start of the 2015 FIFA Beach Soccer World finals in Portugal.
With Ghana currently placed 19th on the FIFA Beach Soccer World Rankings, the fast growing sport is set for major changes in the running of the game.
Supersports becomes the second major worldwide brand to partner the GBSA within a space of a week after Coca Cola pledged to support the association with its arena rehabilitation process.
CAL Bank and Voltic have been consistent sponsors since the league was introduced in Ghana in 2011.
The two corporate entities also sponsored the national team, the Black Sharks to the maiden AFCON Beach Soccer tournament back in April.
At the tournament, Ghana were unable to qualify to the World Cup finals even though they beat former African champions Senegal 5-3.
The Black Sharks however made headlines when leading striker Alexander Adjei smashed in 17 goals in 5 matches to claim the goal king title.
Meanwhile the beach soccer association has set up a seven-member league board to run the upcoming league which kicks off of Saturday 25th July.
