Ghana Air Force defeats Future Stars

Accra, July 31, GNA 96 Ghana Air Force over the weekend recorded a slim win over Future Stars in the eighth week fixtures of the Areeba Handball League. Ghana Air Force won the keenly contested match 20-19 at the end of regulation time in a match they dominated from commencement. The Air Force lads led 12-9 by the close of the first half and consolidated their lead in the second half before they faced a tough opposition from their opponents.

In other matches played, Prisons Service defeated Asomdwe Club 25-15 with Fire Service humiliating Ghana Nave by 30-15, whilst Police Service recorded a 28-19 victory over Hostac. Meanwhile the League has been put on an indefinite break due to the participation of Ghana in the Africa Challenge Cup scheduled for Lome, Togo on August 4. Members of both the male and female national teams are currently in camp preparing for the competition.
