Ghana 1-1 Australia: This result actually helps us

I know it will sound unusual to most people but I think the draw is a good result leading into our final game. Even if we had won today's game we would still have needed to get either a draw or a win against Germany to likely proceed (considering Germany's better goal difference).

My fear was that we will win today and then think the German game is a done deal, go in comfortable and get surprised and lose and sadly be knocked out. With the draw from today, it gives us the lead in the group, but also keeps us on our toes knowing we have to come out blazing in that last game.

With the poor performance I expect the players to wake up with a much better game against Germany. Germany is good but Ghana is better than what we saw today. My initial prediction for this group was for Ghana and Serbia to qualify. Germany is certainly beatable. We have to raise our game and come with much self belief and not play for a draw. Hopefully Vorsah and Mensah are fit because they will be key for us.
