The much anticipated GFA Congress was held yesterday 19th December, 2019 at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence(GSCE), Prampram.

The 25th Ordinary Congress which was the maiden edition under the Kurt Okraku led administration saw Congress vote to affirm the earlier decision to adopt an 18 team League where three teams will be relegated and three Promoted to the Premier League.

The event which was well attended saw defeated FA Presidential Hopeful, Fred Pappoe and Nana Yaw Amposah attend to contribute to the process.

Also in attendance was disqualified candidate, Wilfred Osei Kweku Palmer.

However, one man who was conspicuously missing from the event is George Afriyie.

The former FA Vice President failed to show up in a move that has got the Football fraternity talking. It remains unknown why he didn’t show up but some unconfirmed reports suggest he is out of the country.

Amanda Clinton and Ankomah Mensah were the other absentees who were mandated to attend the Congress as stakeholders.
