Former Vice President of the Ghana Football Association, George Afriyie says the Normalization Committee are to blame for the recent cases of hooliganism at match venues.

The experienced football administrator slammed the governing body for failing to set up a security committee ahead of the Special Competition.

This comes after the series of unfortunate incidents that has marred the novelty league.

Berekum Chelsea were the latest to be handed temporary home ban following the violence that broke at the Golden City Park, leaving two officials of Asante Kotoko heavily injured.

While Nana Agyeman Badu Park in Dormaa has also been banned after another case of crowd disturbance and hooliganism in a game between Aduana Stars and Medeama.

“There has to be a security arrangement for every competition organized in the country. At the start of this special competition, the NC put up so many committees but failed to put a security committee in place” Afriyie bemoaned.
