GOC elections: Tennis Federation demands change

GTF wants change at GOC GTF wants change at GOC

Isaac Boakye Duah, President of the Ghana Tennis Federation (GTF), in the lead-up to the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) elections, has disclosed his desire for change in the setup of the Committee.

According to him, the tennis federation wants the next set of executive members of the GOC to help them in their finances and called on them to run an all-inclusive administration.

“Personally speaking, I’ll go for change at the GOC… We want a GOC which will assist us in the funding of our programmes. As I sit here now I’ll have to pay $10,000 to the International Tennis Federation. We also want a GOC which will involve all associations in the running of its affairs,” he told Class Sports.

Nominations have been opened for potential aspirants for the available positions and are expected to close on 7 March.

The GOC election will come off on 17 March.
