WAFA maintained their position on top of the League table after beating Inter-Allies 2-0 at the Red Bull Arena in Sogakope.

The Academy lads showed their dominance by recording their 10th win in the League.

Winger Prince Obeng Ampem scored the opening goal for WAFA in the 3rd minute after shooting from the edge of the box.

Inter-Allies warmed themselves into the game as they got a fair share of possession in the first half.

WAFA started from where they left off in the second half as Prince Obeng Ampem got his second goal of the deal after chipping the ball over Inter-Allies goalkeeper Kwame Baah.

Inter-Allies best chance in the game came in the 67th minute after Paul Abanga was played through by Isaac Twum only for the right back to shoot his ball over the bar.

The result thus keeps WAFA at the summit of the table with 32 points at the end of the first round of the League.
