GHANSU grateful to lead sponsors

Accra, Feb. 7, GNA - The Ghana National Supporters Union (GHANSU) ha= s expressed appreciation to its lead sponsors, Glo Telecommunications for supporting their operations in the past two years. It said through the fruitful cooperation with Glo Telecommunications, GHANSU can boast of a comfortable 46-seater air-conditioned bus, which has facilitated the trips of supporters to other parts of the country and the continent to cheer on the national teams.\

It said through the generosity of Glo Telecommunications, the founder of GHANSU also received a brand new Toyoto Land Cruiser which has further enhanced the operations of the Union. According to the statement, the current five year sponsorship deal, worth 24 million dollars being enjoyed by the senior national team, the Black Stars and the national Premier League was also facilitated through th= e efforts of GHANSU, which has over the years established a healthy relationship with Glo Telecommunications.

The statement said even though the Union has over the years suffered intimidation, threats, destruction of properties and other negative activities due to its association with Glo Telecommunications, they have stood firmly in the face of the challenges. It said GHANSU will remain committed to its relationship with Glo Telecommunication and lauded their splendid contribution to the development of football in Ghana and wished them a successful business operation in Ghana. GHANSU also lauded the media for their immense contribution to the growth of the Union and expressed the hope that they will continue to receive support to mobilize for the various national teams. GHANSU is the first supporters union in Ghana with a national wide membership. They have over the years provided support to the various national team= s in and outside the country. 0
