GHALCA Top 6: Clubs get $5000 as appearance fee

GHALCA have announced they will be handing each club participating in their inaugural G6 Invitational tournament an appearance fee of GH?20,000 (over $5000).

The maiden edition will feature the winners of the Ghana Premier League and FA Cup AshantiGold and Medeama respectively.

Giants Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko have also confirmed their participation as is Berekum Chelsea and Aduana Stars.

The competition kicks off on January 3, 2016 in Sekondi with all games played at the Essipong Stadium.

GHALCA secured funding for the maiden edition of the G6 tournament after signing a sponsorship agreement with First Trust Savings and Loans with support from NASCO Electronics, Permafix and Don Simon.

The competition will be played in two phases – the group and knockout stage with Hearts, Medeama and Aduana drawn in Group A while AshantiGold, Asante Kotoko and Berekum Chelsea are in Group B.
