The Reform Committee of the Ghana League Clubs Association are in the final stages of their mandate of proposing reforms for Ghana football.

The group led the experienced administrator Jones Alhassan Abu arrived in Takoradi on Friday evening to finalize their work.

GHALCA last month commissioned the group to propose and collate views for reforms of Ghana football.

This included a holistic review of the Ghana FA Statutes, Disciplinary Code and the Code of Ethics.

The group is also looking to propose governance reforms and also to review the competitions of the GFA in its bid of making it better in all aspects.

Present in Takoradi currently alongside the group’s leader is George Amoako, Oloboi Commodore and Wilson Arthur.

Samuel Oduro Nyarko – who was subsequently drafted into the group – is also present alongside the committee’s secretary Ameenu Shardow.

The other members of the committee Randy Abbey, Agbesi Dzakpasu and Emmanuel Larbi Amoah were unable to make the trip to Takoradi.

The group is expected to complete its work this weekend and be ready to present its report to the GHALCA executive body next week.
