GFA will not be disappointed if Mexico team B plays Black Stars – Sannie Daara

The Spokesperson of the Ghana Football Association Ibrahim Sannie Daara has said the federation will not be disappointed if Mexico parade a less stronger side for the friendly against the Black Stars later this month.

There have been growing concerns as to the side Mexico will parade to play the Black Stars on June 28 with the main Mexican side currently competing at the 2017 Confederations Cup in Russia.

Many had suggested that the GFA should cancel the game since it isn’t clear which side The Tricolors will be parading.

But Sannie Daara says Ghana will gain a lot of experience from the game despite Mexico not likely to use their first side for the game.

Meanwhile, Saanie Daara has confirmed rumours that the Ayew brothers are out of the Black Stars friendly matches against Mexico and the United States of America

Rumours have been rife in the past days that Dede Ayew and his younger brother Jordan Ayew have pulled out of the two friendlies with the excuse that they want to rest after a marathon season in the English Premier League

Speaking to journalists after the team’s training ahead of the two friendlies, Sannie Daara gave a comprehensive report on the state of the team and confirmed the rumours that have been making rounds in the last couple of days.

He explained that the absence of the duo was due to their respective clubs’ unwillingness to release the two attackers for the friendly games.
