GFA extends Konadu’s mandate – report

Footy-ghana.com understands that the Ghana Football Association has extended the temporary mandate of Maxwell Konadu in coaching the national Under 20 team, the Black Satellites.

Konadu was originally tasked with negotiating Ghana’s qualifiers against Uganda after substantive head coach Orlando Wellington resigned from the position, but following Ghana’s 4-3 aggregate victory over the Junior Hippos, Konadu has now been tasked with negotiating Ghana’s final qualifiers against Morocco.

It is unclear whether Konadu will get the job on a permanent basis, should he qualify the Black Satellites for the African Youth Soccer Championships.

Konadu, who is the reigning Premier League Board’s coach of the year, is now currently the assistant coach of the Black Stars.
