Ghanaian Football Administrator Takyi Arhin, has hit hard at avowed critics of the current Ghana Football Association leadership headed by Kurt Okraku.

The new Ghana FA regime has been heavily criticized by many football connoisseurs for how they have handled affairs since taking charge. The latest in a series of media outbursts against the current administration is about eyebrows raised on a certain 11million Ghana Cedis debt in the books of the country’s football governing body.

Suggestions from the critics are that, the GFA perhaps have manufactured these figures to justify why they are not so keen on allocating a portion of the $500,000 money received from FIFA to ease the financial sufferings of member associations during this Covid-19 crisis.

Takyi Arhin, popularly referred to as Thunder in football circles has slammed such suggestions and called the claims as unfounded.

According to the veteran football administrator, he strongly disagrees with those lambasting the Ghana FA.

“If someone says this administration has not done anything, I beg to differ”, he declared.

“Since he (Kurt Okraku) came, what again should he do, he has formed various committees across board and he involved persons from the camps of those he contested against”.

“When the league was about to start without a sponsor, they gave each premier league team 50,000, first division 25,000 and women’s football teams 15,000”.

“Today adjudication of cases at the disciplinary committee is expedited. Referees have lifted their game. Bring back the love is working and the love is coming back”.

“The GFA consults all stakeholders before making any decision, so if anyone thinks nothing has changed, then the person are wearing wooden spectacles” he concluded.
