GFA commends media for coverage of Black Starlets arrival

The Ghana Football Association have commended the home base media for their extensive coverage of the twinkle twinkle little Stars both at the tournament and on arrival.

The country’s highest football arm heaped kinds on the media and the fans for the mass welcome offered to the defeated Starlets at the just ended U17 Nations cup staged in Gabon.

The Black Starlets missed out on the golden trophy after a painful 1-0 defeat the hands of Mali in the grand finale but the rapturous fans that welcomed them at the KIA pleased the FA and the entire football family.

The GFA in a speech commended the local media and the fans for offering the platform to the team and teaming fans that stormed the airport.

Paa Kwesi Faabin and his then rampant side rained nine goals in the opening two games to book a ticket to the 2017 FIFA Under 17 world cup to be staged in India but have since failed to find the back of the net in the last 3 games. The make a return to the world stage for the first in a decade.
